With a career spanning almost four decades, London-born Matthew Raine (MR NATTY) is a highly respected fashion mens barber & stylist. He has helped create runway looks for Martin Margiela, Coach, Bottega Veneta, Prada mens wear and many more, as well as working with music and actors ranging from Dee Dee Ramone, Sam Smith, Lewis Hamilton, Will.I.Am, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, and John Galliano.
Mr Natty began developing his style and craft as a south London working class teenager, with his apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon and St James barbers drawing inspiration from new romantic, punks, skinheads and Teddy Boys. As an apprentice in London’s Mayfair for 8 years, he then learned the Sassoon Way, and now combines this varied array of influences to create his own distinct looks which bought him to develop a range of grooming products to make hair styling easy.
I his own words:
"I started making MR NATTY years ago for myself - simply because I couldn't find anything like it on the market for proper gezzers. All of the hair products I found didn't have the ingredients I wanted or smell like how I wanted and 12 years ago when I stared making beard oil people joked about it. But I knew it made sense “
